These photographs were taken on 16 May 1950 when Frank Lloyd Wright visited North Carolina State College. During the visit, Wright addressed an audience, of reportedly over 5,000 people, in the newly completed Reynolds Coliseum. This was allegedly the largest audience he was ever to address, one of the largest audiences ever to hear an architectural lecture in the United States, and was to signal the importance of the School of Design in American architectural education.
