MoreThe Roger Manley Collection of Gregg Museum Director Photographs contains photographs of the three Gregg Museum directors: Ben Williams, Charlotte Vestal Brown Wainwright, and Roger Manley. These photographs were taken by Christer Berg for his publication People with Purpose. Ben Williams was the first curator of the Gregg Museum of Art & Design. He was previously curator of the North Carolina Museum of Art and helped found the Friends of the College series at NC State University as well as the Gregg Museum. Charlotte Vestal Brown Wainwright was curator of art at North Carolina State University from 1982 to 1985, and became director of the Visual Arts Center at North Carolina State University in 1985. She was director of the Gregg for 27 years. Roger Manley was curator of the Gregg Museum from 2010 to 2023. Manley led the Gregg Museum through major changes, including the move from the Talley Student Center to the former Chancellor's Residence.
