The Sharon Curtin Papers, 1964-2020, contain photographs, newsclippings, notes, correspondence, and other materials primarily documenting the NC State University campus and the Department of Poultry Science. There is some information on Poultry Science faculty members and staff. Also included is a book that Curtin wrote about growing up near Weaverville, North Carolina, and photographs and a DVD showing her husband, Terrence M. Curtin, in 2020.
Diane Sharon Saunders was born in Weaverville, North Carolina, in 1942. She came to NC State University in the 1960s and worked as a research technician in the Department of Poultry Science labs under Dr. Pat B. Hamilton for many years. From 1981 to 1986, she was in the microbiology lab of the College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1987, she married Dean Terry of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
