The files that comprise this collection once made up Gary Mock's website devoted to the history of textile mills, people and companies in the United States, chiefly in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. That website's URL http://textileshistory.org/ is no longer active. The digital files that comprised Dr. Mock's website were transferred to the NC State University Libraries by the Wilson College of Textiles in 2019. The Wilson College of Textiles took over Dr. Mock's content a few years ago, modified it considerably, added to it, and now hosts it on their website at https://sites.textiles.ncsu.edu/history/. NC State University Libraries captures that website quarterly as part of NC State University Web Sites Web Archive.
