Collection contains alumni recollections, photographs, and ephemeral materials documenting the student experience, World War II service, and other aspects of the lives of various alumni of North Carolina State University.

The North Carolina State University Alumni/Student Collection was created by the Special Collections Research Center in 1996 to centralize future material relating to activities of University students. It was intended for this collection to have the value of a representative sample of these activities. In addition, it was designed to focus on future acquisitions, so no attempt was made to reorganize similar existing collections into the NC State University Alumni and Student Collection.

Biographical/historical note

The North Carolina State University Alumni and Student Collection was created in 1996 by the Special Collections Research Center to centralize future material relating to activities of University students. It was intended for this collection to have the value of a representative sample of student activities. In addition, it was designed to focus on future acquisitions, so no attempt was made to reorganize similar existing collections into the NC State University Alumni and Student Collection.

Photographs of Lieutenant Bradley Jewett Wootten (Class of 1897) and his tombstone.

Collection contains alumni recollections, photographs, and ephemeral materials documenting the student experience of various alumni.

Materials are arranged alphabetically by student last name.

Use of these materials

The nature of the NC State University Libraries' Special Collections means that copyright or other information about restrictions may be difficult or even impossible to determine despite reasonable efforts. The NC State University Libraries claims only physical ownership of most Special Collections materials.

The materials from our collections are made available for use in research, teaching, and private study, pursuant to U.S. Copyright law.
