Biographical/historical note

The Abdalla (Abdallah) family were Lebanese immigrants who lived in North and South Carolina. The family operated businesses across North Carolina, including in Selma and Smithfield. These businesses included Abdalla's Market, a small grocery, the Selma Style Shop, and a merchandise store.

Scope/content

The Abdalla Family Papers include photographs of the Abdalla family in North and South Carolina from the early twentieth century. It also includes an address given by Tom Abdalla to employees at his store in Smithfield, NC and portraits of Abdalla family members.
