Why doesn't the library have my Textbook?

What is included in the Textbook Collection?

The Libraries strives to provide at least one copy of every required textbook for fall, spring and summer semester classes, assuming that either the NC State Bookstores or the Libraries has received notification of the assigned text by specified deadlines. There are some required course materials that we do not purchase. These items include:

• Course packs and custom textbooks
• Ebook access codes
• Lab manuals
• Workbooks
• Clickers

Can faculty add items to the Textbook Collection?

Faculty may drop off course packs and custom textbooks for addition to the Textbook Collection. These items can be donated to the collection or returned at the end of the Spring semester. Please note that library staff will take care to protect these items but cannot guarantee their safety and security.
