Why am I seeing security messages when I try to access a database or other e-resource from off-campus?
Because the NC State University Libraries uses a single certificate to secure many sub-domains, you may see messages asking you to confirm that you understand the risks of proceeding. Browsers may also ask you to add an exception to your security settings in order to continue. As long as you are attempting to access a URL within the lib.ncsu.edu domain, it is safe to trust the NC State University Libraries certificate.
