How can I find something fun to read?

Here are two ways that we recommend! We have books in print, ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines available for you to peruse.

Browse the Popular Reading Collection

Prefer to browse physical shelves? The Popular Reading Collection, located in the Hill Library Learning Commons, has wide variety of new and recent books all in one place. It also has current magazines available for you to browse.

Explore in our catalog

1. Pick a genre

2. Personalize your search (optional)

If you want, use the filters on the left of the catalog results page to narrow down your results. For example, you can pick a particular library location, or limit to only books that are available online, or just to audiobooks.

Example of what you might see in the sidebar of a catalog results page:

Filtering options available in the library's catalog. Shows different library locations, resources types, and a checkbox for if the item is available online.

3. Choose your book

If you see a book that looks interesting, click on the title to go to a page with more detailed information, usually including a summary.

Looking for a particular book we don't have? You can request it via Tripsaver or suggest that we purchase it.

4. Get your book

Once you've chosen a book, you can either go find it yourself or use the green "request" button to have it delivered to the library of your choice. (You'll receive an email when it's ready to be picked up.) This 4-minute video on getting books provides more information about both options!
