Can I recall a book that is checked out to someone else?

Recalls are only used by NC State University Libraries staff when a checked-out book is needed for an NC State University instructor's course reserves. In this case, the person who has the book checked out is notified via email to return the book by a new due date, or pay a recall fee of $3.00 per day.

Patrons who need a book that is checked out to someone else are advised to either place a hold on the book or a Tripsaver-Interlibrary Loan request.
