Are there accessible restrooms in the library?

Yes, all of the libraries have ADA-accessible restrooms. Each library is listed below along with the locations of their accessible restrooms.

D.H. Hill Jr. Library

All public restrooms on the first, second, and third floors of the Hill Library are ADA-accessible.

Two gender-inclusive, single-occupant restrooms are located on the first floor in the main lobby across from the Ask Us Center (see map).

James B. Hunt Jr. Library

All public restrooms in the Hunt Library are ADA-accessible. Restrooms are located on the first, second, fourth, and fifth floors.

A gender-inclusive, single-occupant restroom is located on the first floor, just past the elevators (see map).

Design Library 

An accessible women’s restroom is located at the north end of the second floor of Brooks Hall, on the same floor as the library.

An accessible men’s restroom is located at the north end of the first floor of Brooks Hall.

A gender-inclusive, single-occupant restroom is located at the south end of the second floor of Brooks Hall, on the same floor as the library.

Natural Resources Library

There are ADA-accessible men’s and women’s restrooms near the library on the first floor of Jordan Hall.

The closest gender-inclusive, single-occupant, restroom is in the building next door, on the first floor of Biltmore Hall, Room 1011.

William Rand Kenan, Jr. Library of Veterinary Medicine

Accessible restrooms are located just outside the VML's front door, to the left after exiting the library. 

Users are welcome to request to use the single-occupant, gender-inclusive restroom in the VML Staff Room — just ask at the Service Desk. There is another restroom in College of Veterinary Medicine Main Building, Room C251.
