Women’s Center 30th Anniversary - Herstory
On view Wednesday, March 30, 2022 to Tuesday, March 26, 2024
About This Exhibit
This year, the NC State Women’s Center celebrates its 30th anniversary! At the heart of this rich and storied history is a group of tenacious students who sought to establish a space dedicated to advancing gender, equity, and social justice on campus. With the support of Student Affairs staff and the Provost, their dream became a reality in October 1991. That student-led vision has continued to shape the campus climate and culture at NC State to this day.
This exhibit, “Our Stories Matter: Redefining HERstory and the Meaning of Empowerment through the Times,” recognizes the women who have paved the way for others by breaking barriers, opening the doors of possibility, and inspiring students to make a change. It features audio interviews that highlight the stories of impactful women from the past, present, and future who have contributed to the advancement of the Women’s Center’s work. In addition to first-hand stories, the exhibit highlights digital artifacts. More information at the Women's Center.
