About This Exhibit

Interact with real 3D holograms and learn more about NC State University's impressive botanical collection. In the Holoplayer Seed Gallery, a Holoplayer One displays a selection of seed models as holograms users can interact with via touch and gestures. These models were scanned using the NC State University Libraries 3D scanning studio by Colin Keenan from seeds in the NC State University Herbarium. Users can rotate, scale, and switch between seeds using a combination of gestures and button inputs on the Holoplayer. Come make your own 3D models in the 3D scanning studio at D.H. Hill Jr Library.
