About This Event

Join Victor Betts, Student Success Librarian for Special Collections and Dr. Kyung Hee Ha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures as they showcase some of their favorite collections documenting Asian and Asian American lives from the university archives.

Learn about the deep history of Asian and Asian Americans and their contributions to NC State University that are often unknown or invisible to the greater campus community. Join Victor and Prof. Ha in celebrating Asian Pacific Islander South Asian American Heritage Month on campus as they also talk about the importance of building a more complete historical record with the stories of historically excluded and underrepresented communities.

Betts and Dr. Ha are working on a project that seeks to document the voices and experiences of Asian and Asian Americans on campus in support by NC State University Libraries and the CHASS Diversity Mini Grant.
