About This Event

State of Sound Stories from NC State University Libraries invites individuals and groups to share their personal sound stories - their own creative paths that got them involved with sound - to highlight diverse ways forward for those interested in making sound a bigger part of their lives or careers.

Join us for a conversation with King Gino (Gino Fernandes), a recording artist and recent graduate of NC State’s microbiology department. Listen to him explain how he was able to balance creativity and academic work while also co-founding Callisto Records, a collective of artists from NC State University who have a passion for hip-hop and the arts. We'll also talk about Gino's post-graduation plans for his music, his career, and life in general.

This event will be held live on the NC State University Libraries Twitch channel. There will be time for Q&A from the participants.
