Whether it's an intense shot of espresso, a smooth latte, or just a regular "cup a joe", coffee beverages are some of the most popular on the planet. The goal of this presentation is to show the beauty of the data associated with coffee flavor and quality. We will start with the constellation of flavors, both good and bad, found on coffee flavor wheels. We move on to spider plots that describe the qualities of individual coffees from around the world, get "hyperspectral" for a bit, and then finish with micrographs showing the complex architecture of the beans that help many of us wake up and get moving every morning.
Join us before the talk on the fifth floor terrace for freshly roasted coffee!
