About This Event
The National Park Service mission is to “preserve unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.” Join us for a presentation and Q&A with Joel Cusick (GIS specialist with Alaska Regional Office, NPS), who will show how scanning technology is being used to serve the Park Service mission by providing quantitative metrics for Fat Bear Week, a fun and educational online voting event each October. Come see how a Terrestrial Laser Scanner can be put to work measuring the roundest bear belly.
