About this device
Roli's Seaboard RISE is a new take on the MIDI controller. Rather than a series of separate keys, its interface is a continuous gel surface in the shape of a piano keyboard, which accepts a variety of gestures through Roli's patented Five Dimensions of Touch. The intent is to open up playing, mixing and manipulation of its hundreds of free sounds through actions more intuitive than buttons and dials, and it's carried out fairly well.
RISE works with all of the following digital audio workstations through a system called MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE)
Find a full list of MPE compatible software here, but RISE can also be used as a basic MIDI keyboard with any other media production program.
