Art index retrospective
Art Index Retrospective is a bibliographic database that cumulates citations to Art Index volumes 1-32 of the printed index published between 1929-1984. The database cites articles from periodicals published throughout the world. Periodical coverage includes English-language periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins, as well as periodicals published in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch. It also indexes reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals.
Searchable database of more than 300,000 digital images and associated catalog data. ARTstor covers many time periods and cultures, and documents the fields of architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, decorative arts, and design, as well as many other forms of visual culture. Users can search, view, and download images.
Bibliography of the history of art
The name BHA has been used informally to refer to a group of databases: RAA, RILA, BHA, and IBA. The data available on the Getty Web site as of April 1, 2010, comprises two databases: BHA and IBA. BHA (Bibliography of the History of Art/Bibliographie d'histoire de l'art) covers the years 1990-2007; the Getty Web version includes all records with abstracts in French or English and all subject terms in French and English. IBA (International Bibliography of the History of Art) covers 2008 and part of 2009; the Getty Web version includes all records with abstracts in English and all subject terms in French and English. A third database will be added to the Getty Web site during the coming months: RILA (Râepertoire de la litterature de l'art), which covers 1975?1989.
Design Library image collection
The Design Library Image Collection is an evolving collection of images made accessible through Luna, a dynamic web-based digital library with tools for working with images. The collection contains more then 52,000 digital images covering art, architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design and graphic design. The image collection also has over 80,000 35mm slides, which can be searched via Luna. The slides are held at Harrye C. Lyons Design Library.
Material Connexionis a unique and comprehensive resource currently comprised of more than 4,500 materials and processes, and growing at a rate of more than 30 materials per month. The information, including high-quality photographs, and company/vendor contact information is also placed into our digital database that can be accessed online. This not only provides access for those without convenient access to a physical iteration of the Material Connexion library, but it also provides all users with the ability to search all of the materials by keyword, material type, manufacturer name, and manufacturer location. The eight material processes include: polymers; cement-based materials; glass; metals; ceramics; natural materials; carbon-based materials; processes.
