Access to Materials

All of the holdings of the Special Collections Research Center are stored in off-site storage facilities and must be retrieved for patron use.

To ensure that materials are available for you in a timely fashion, please fill out the form below at least 2 regular business days in advance of your intended arrival to ensure that the Center's staff can retrieve the items in time for your arrival.

If your browser does not support forms, you may contact the Center by calling (919) 515-2273, or by coming to the Center in person to fill out an item retrieval request form.

For books or other published materials, please provide the following information:
• Author
• Title
• Call number

For archival or manuscript materials, please provide:
• Collection number
• Collection Title
• Number of the box or boxes
