Born in Raleigh, N.C., Nigel Clarke is Lewis Clarke and Kit Clarke’s son. Nigel Clarke attended the North Carolina State University School (now College) of Design and earned his master’s in landscape architecture in 1988. He worked in a private practice until 2008, at which time he became an adjunct professor at the College of Design. He is now Chief Landscape Architect for the State Parks System at NCDENR.
