Research Assistance

The staff of the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) is available to assist researchers in their work. We can provide collection overviews, instruction on how to locate materials in the collection, and answers to basic research questions. Staff members are also able to assist researchers with the proper handling of collection material. Gloves, book cradles, and weights will be provided as needed. Special Collections materials do not circulate and cannot leave the SCRC reading room.

Research inquiries are accepted in person, online, or by telephone.

For in depth research questions, we recommend that researchers visit in person and make arrangements to view materials that will assist in their project. Please note that requests to view specific materials should be made at least 48 hours in advance because most collections are stored off-site.
