NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis developed the digital CWMTF Funded Projects data from latitude/longitude coordinates and hard-copy maps provided by the CWMTF grant applicants. This file enables users to identify locations of CWMTF funded projects approved as of November 2003. This data covers the entire extent of North Carolina.
This data was created to assist governmental agencies and others in making resource management decisions through use of a Geographic Information System (GIS).

Using ESRI's ARC/INFO GIS software, the dataset was built for point topology using the "build" command. Topology has not been edited since the last build or clean.
These data represent the locations of CWMTF Funded Projects in North Carolina as supplied by the Clean Water Management Trust Fund. The locations were either input using latitude/longitude coordinates and GIS software or input manually in ArcEdit using maps submitted with each grant application.
The majority of CWMTF Funded Projects were generated using latitude/ longitude coordinates.
