College of Engineering does not have a separate scholarship application for incoming students. New freshmen who have been admitted to NC State and have indicated engineering as their preference are automatically considered for College of Engineering scholarships based on their admissions records. There is no need to provide the College of Engineering with additional information unless you are contacted directly. We usually offer freshman scholarships following the Park Scholarship and University-wide Scholarship Program decisions.
Each year the College of Engineering invites a limited number of outstanding freshmen to participate in the Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program. The program allows engineering and computer science students to complement their technical education with an in-depth study of humanities or social sciences. Students who complete this program earn two undergraduate degrees in five years - BS in computer science or engineering and a bachelor's degree in an area of the humanities and social sciences.
