Historical NoteThe Keramos National Professional Ceramic Engineering Fraternity was established in 1902 to promote the interaction between professionals and students in the field of ceramic engineering. A chapter of the Keramos Fraternity was established at North Carolina State in or before 1941, and remained active through at least 1978, though has since disbanded. The Keramos Fraternity is an affiliate of the American Ceramic Society, a student chapter of which was active on the NC State campus for a period coinciding with (though slightly longer than) the activity of the Keramos chapter.
