Scope and Content Note

The records of the North Carolina State University College Station Credit Union contain meeting minutes, correspondence, by-laws, and a membership roster. Materials range in date from 1932 to 1947.

Historical Note

The North Carolina State University College Station Credit Union was organized by a group of faculty members in 1932 to provide financing to members at reasonable interest rates and to ensure the safety of deposited funds. Membership in the Credit Union was limited to professional individuals associated with NC State; the fee to join was fifty cents. Members of the Credit Union voted during a meeting in February of 1947 to dissolve the organization; this action was carried out after the August meeting of that same year.
