These files contain records, 1970s-2000, pertaining to the activities and administration of the NC State University Libraries Information Technology Department. Included are reports and memos relating to the Libraries' development and use of information technology and files relating to the Libraries' implementation of a bibliographic management system using software from Data Research Associates (DRA).

The North Carolina State University Libraries' Information Technology Department ensures the smooth integration and maintenance of emerging services and delivery of information technology to a diverse constituency. Libraries IT provides technology services, support, and application development for staff at the Libraries, and manages student computing in public areas at D.H. Jr. Hill Library, James B. Hunt Jr. Library, and the branch libraries.
