Historical Note

Alumni Relations is the unit at NCSU that officially interacts with graduates of the university. It was formerly named Alumni Affairs. Included in this unit is the Alumni Association.

The Alumni Association was established in 1895, six years after the first classes were held at North Carolina College of Aricultural and Mechanic Arts (now North Carolina State University). The 1986-1987 narrative and pictorial histories of the university were published under the auspices of the Alumni Association. In September 2006, the Alumni Association moved into the Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center, built on the southern shore of Centennial Campus’ Lake Raleigh. Additional information can be found on the Alumni Association website external link.
