Scope and Content NoteThis collection contains published and unpublished audit reports for the university, as well as audit reports for particular departments, colleges, campus groups and events. The collection also includes “Reviews,” which are periodic assessments of departmental procedures relating to accounting and university policies. Departments and groups represented in the collection include the Department of Athletics, the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Endowment Fund, Federal Student Financial Aid program, the Graduate School, NCSU Student Aid Association, Students Supply Store and the Wolfpack Club, among many others. The audit reports do not follow a standard format; however, they often include information on salaries, endowment performance, the funding of construction projects, financial aid, scholarships, research income and expenditures, student housing and other topics. Materials range in date from 1913 to 2003. Historical NoteThe Internal Audit Division at North Carolina State University is primarily responsible for supporting the University’s compliance with policies, rules and regulations.
