Fellows Program

The Fellowship: Your First Professional Library Position

Are you a recent graduate hoping to launch your academic library career at a top research university known for its competitive edge, innovative spirit, and commitment to diversity?

Do you want to grow your experience with science and engineering information, digital libraries, or library administration?

The NC State University Libraries Fellows Program offers new librarians a three-year appointment during which you develop expertise in a functional area and contribute to an innovative initiative of strategic importance. Fellows are fully integrated members of the library faculty performing as entry-level librarians half time in a home department. The remaining time is devoted to an initiative in an area outside the home department. These initiatives support strategic initiatives while providing concrete and innovative opportunities for Fellows to interact with librarians from other departments and achieve at a professional level.
