What sorts of cords, connectors, adapters, and chargers can I borrow at D.H. Hill Library?
Video Cables/Adapters Available for checkout at the main Circulation / Reserves Desk:
-Laptop to TV (VGA) cables for group study room eboards.
-Mac video adapters for every Mac laptop generation, including:
Mini display port to VGA
DVI to VGA
Micro DVI to VGA
Mini DVI to VGA
These adapters will allow a patron to connect their Mac laptop to a group study room eboard using a VGA (laptop to TV) cable.
Computer Device Connectors:
-Computer to peripheral device cables (USB) that allows a patron to connect video cameras, digital cameras, and other devices that support this (USB) connection type.
-Firewire cables, which allow a patron to connect devices such as video cameras to a computer. The relative device and computer must support a firewire connection.
Mice and speakers are also available for check out.
If a patron forgot their personal laptop power adapter/charger, we have universal power adapters available for checkout (PC only). These adapters are not guaranteed to work for every laptop brand, and the patron assumes sole responsibility for any damage to their laptop that may occur.
