Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How are citations added to the SPR?

Since 1997, the NCSU Libraries have maintained this resource by harvesting citations from indexes to the published literature (including the Web of Science, Agricola, Medline, World Textiles, Zoological Record, and ERIC).

We search for new articles that have been published by researchers and faculty affiliated with NCSU. For the sake of efficiency, we search only indexes that allow searching by institutional affiliation; we do not search for individual names. These indexes cover a broad scope, but not every discipline or area of work represented at NCSU. For this reason, the citations included in the SPR are not a comprehensive list of all works published by NCSU faculty and researchers.

Individual faculty, graduate students, and research staff may add their own citations by going to this page.
