Can I "recall" a book that is checked out to someone else?
Recalls are only used by NCSU Libraries staff when a checked-out book is needed for an NCSU instructor's course reserves. In this case, the person who has the book checked out is notified via email to return the book by a new due date, or pay a recall fee of $3.00 per day.
Patrons who need a book that is checked out to someone else are advised to either place a hold on the book or a Tripsaver-Interlibrary Loan request.
